We regretfully announce the passing of another stalwart of Armagh Theatre Group , Pat McNally. Pat was a natural actor and from the earliest days of ATG took on leading roles in many prize winning plays in the 70's 80's and 90's. Her first play was 'Lovers' by Brian Friel, City Hall Armagh 1971. Other notable performances were Big Maggie in 1980, 'All my Sons' by Arthur Millar in 1988 where she won Best Actress in Portadown festival. And on stage in Opera House in 'Factory Girls' Frank McGuinness in 1989., deputising for Una Boylan who went off cruising! Her last stage performance was in Abbey Lane in 2018. A rehearsed reading of 'Someone To Talk To' by Michael Judge directed by Margery Quinn. And an outstanding cast of Pat; Madeleine Kelly and Malcolm Dawson. I'm sure many can recall Malcolm suitably attired as a lady in high heels, make up and lips of fire engine red.A sight to behold! Pat past away at home on Saturday morning 19th September a youthful 86'. Sister to acting members Peter and Malachi Kelly, sister-in-law to Madeleine, Auntie to Aisling Kelly and Eimear and a friend to all who knew her. She will grace the stages of the next life. RIP.
