SEASON's GREETINGS 2017   

We know you like a card and verse

So without putting pressure on my purse

I composed these lines which are no worse

Than others pertaining to seasonal verse

Now not in mentioning food and thirst

Or overindulgence, then wanting to burst

It strikes me as an annual curse

This Feasting & Gifting for a poor Jewish birth

Which some in society are quite averse

As it results in Loans to reimburse

Then these feelings of 'ill' can demand a nurse

And in severe cases a ride in a hearse

So without further ado and not a little terse

We wish you this Pagan Mid- winter diverse
