Hughes Family Music
Liam, Niall and Matthew Hughes are three talented brothers from Keady, County Armagh, who make up the core of Hughes Family Music. A vibrant and widely acclaimed traditional Irish music group.
Liam Hughes brings versatility to the trio with his skills on the flute, uilleann pipes, guitar, and vocals.
His expressive playing and strong singing voice are central to the group’s sound.
Niall Hughes, the eldest, is a gifted accordion player and singer, known for his rhythmic drive and musical sensitivity. Matthew Hughes, the youngest, plays the concertina and banjo, adding intricate textures and energy to their performances.
The brothers first rose to prominence in 2020 on TG4’s Réalta agus Gaolta, a televised talent show spotlighting Ireland’s most musical families. Since then, they’ve built a strong following, known for their infectious energy, technical ability, and deep-rooted love for Irish traditional music.
