Our Autumn production is the famous 'GASLIGHT' by Patrick Hamilton. Set in London of 1890's this Victorian thriller comes to the Market Place Studio Theatre from Thursday 9th to Saturday 11th November with an 8pm start. Tickets £10 and £8 (concessions) from the Box Office Market Place Theatre (02837 521821)

Producer Felim Rafferty has assembled a talented cast to bring this classic Victorian era drama to the Armagh stage. The tormented 'Bella Manningham', portrayed so sympathetically by MONIQUE RENNIE, stoically tries to remain faithful to her domineering husband 'Jack Manningham' played by DAVID O'TOOLE. David wonderfully captures this cunning and evil character using all his years of stage craft to high professional standards. His amorous flirtations with the young and beautiful maid 'Nancy'( Claudia Clendenning) is blatantly provocative to an audience. Claudia's stage presence belies her novice appearance for ATG on the 'BIG STAGE'. Des Crilly an 'oul han' with Ballymacnab Players takes on the character of ex detective Rough who has had his eye on Manningham  even in retirement. He plods along slowly unravelling the true intentions of Jack Manningham to us, the audience, until the surprising end. Bella Manningham gets much needed loyalty and support from her Housekeeper 'Elizabeth', played by Gillian Faulkner with calm authority, as Bella succumbs to her husbands selfish scheme. A pulsating night of theatre from your local Armagh Theatre Group. Please support.
